Why this site exists
Immigration rules change often, sometimes overnight, and the announcements that matter most are published as Federal Register notices, agency policy manual updates, visa bulletins and court opinions — documents written for lawyers rather than for the people whose lives they change.
We read those documents and explain what actually changed, who it applies to, what the deadline is, and where the official instructions live. A registration window missed by a week can cost someone their eligibility, so the details matter more here than the commentary.

We are not a law firm, and nothing on this site is legal advice. We are not USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, an immigration court, or any other government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
We cannot check your case status, prepare or file forms, or contact an agency on your behalf. Official forms are always free to download from the agency that issues them, and case status is available directly from USCIS.
How we work
Every report links to the primary source — the agency announcement, Federal Register notice, visa bulletin or court decision — so you can verify what we publish and follow the official instructions directly. Where a rule is being litigated or its effect is uncertain, we say so rather than guessing.
