I’m the founder and editor of RouteToAmerica, an independent publication covering United States immigration: policy changes, visa and green card updates, humanitarian programs such as TPS and parole, citizenship and naturalization, court decisions, and the deadlines that follow from them.
I created RouteToAmerica to make information that is often buried in Federal Register notices, agency policy manuals, visa bulletins and court opinions easier to understand. My goal is to give readers a clear account of what changed, who it affects, what the deadline is, and where the official instructions live.
Why I Built RouteToAmerica
Immigration rules change often, and the changes that matter most are announced in documents written for lawyers. A registration window can open and close in weeks. A priority date can move backward without warning. A rule can take effect, be enjoined, and be restored on appeal.
People making decisions about their status deserve to read what actually happened in plain English, with a link to the official notice so they can verify it themselves and follow the agency’s own instructions.
How I Work
Every report is built from primary sources wherever they exist: USCIS and DHS announcements, Federal Register notices, State Department visa bulletins, published court decisions, and official forms and fee schedules. Each article links to that source so readers can confirm the details and file directly.
RouteToAmerica is not a law firm, not a government agency, and not a filing service. I do not give legal advice, prepare or file forms, or check case status. Official immigration forms are always free from the agency that issues them. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
